MICHIGAN SHERIFFS TRAINING COUNCIL

The following sheriffs have been appointed to the newly formed Michigan Sheriffs Training Council: Sheriff Mark Hackel of Macomb County, appointed to fill the position of sheriff representing a county with a population of over 400,000. Sheriff Gene Wriggelsworth of Ingham County appointed to fill the position of sheriff representing a county with a population between 100,000 and 400,000.  Sheriff Wayne Kangas of Clinton County appointed to fill the position of sheriff representing a county with a population under 100,000. Also appointed to Council seats are: Captain Rick Kaledas of Mecosta County appointed to fill the position representing the Jail Administrators Committee. Mark Reminga of Kent County and Keith Forsgren of Macomb County have been appointed to represent the Deputy Sheriffs’ Association of Michigan. 

Wayne County Sheriff Warren Evans, Allegan County Sheriff Blaine Koops and Oakland County Jail Administrator Ann Russell were appointed by the MSA Board of Directors to be representatives on the Michigan Sheriffs Training Council Advisory Board.
